Nice to that I can say Fuck in a response without being bitched at. A certain other forum gets butthurt if you even say RTFM....

What happened to that weirdo (Guest account) who was posting a load of homophobic stuff? His stuff got deleted. And now you made me have to register an account just to view the forum. Oh well

OK, so I guess its not quite freedom of speech here then. I don't agree with what he said but I thought you lot were up for being able to say what you want here after what happened over at xda.

It's been fixed so guests can view but should register to post. Chill. New thing for all of us.

I guess maybe everyone has their line that when you cross it you offend them. Some peoples lines must be in a different place, that's all. xda's is a bit more family friendly, but you have your line you cant cross as well. Its all gravy to me.# Peace.

I missed what was posted, but as I stated in my wlecome OP, Im down for people saying things that may otherwise get them removed from other "not to be named" forums, but also in said post, I said dont be a cock...If he was being a cock, then he got what was coming to him...Theres a difference between being able to say "Fuck yeah", and other shit that may be seen as offensive to not one person, but many....There IS still a level of respect one should have when dealing with other people...We just dont have to be Rated G to talk..

They're not family oriented. They're corporate speech oriented, everyone has to act like they work in customer service even when someone pisses you off due to lack of following simple procedures like logs.

I didnt say i didnt agree with you. All i meant was that everyone draws a line in the sand somewhere on what is or is not offensive. Some people find saying "Fuck yeah" offensive, some dont. What i unserstand is that it was their site so its their rules, this is your site so we play by your rules. That weirdo may have his own site where its his rules. You cant blame anyone for saying "Look, here are the rules, stick to them or you get banned". I am not apologising for xda, just to say they have clear rules and its not hard to keep to them. Here I know i can be abit looser with my language if I want. OK, no more on this from me.

His post were deleted, not from content, but because he was spamming because he thought it was funny.......it wasn't.

Here I know i can be abit looser with my language if I want. OK, no more on this from me. There rules are clear and that is not really the problem with xda. They are just a bunch of kiss my ass or we will fuck with you. They make rules then pick and choose who has to follow them. I have had several threads closed because I shared a known kernel (Plasma by ffolks) that had a modded ramdisk to work for miui and did not post the source for said kernel. They closed the l900 (my device/sprint note 2) thread yet I have the exact same OP for the i605 (verizon note 2) which was not messed with. They did not just remove the link for the kernel (which was an add-on) but locked the whole thread. There are many roms on xda that do not have source for either rom or kernel linked/posted yet they have not been locked. For example here are two of my threads that THEY just had to fuck with. http://forum. xda-developers.com/note-2-sprint/general/l900-project-t2913779 -- closed just cause the mod is a dick http://forum. xda-developers.com/note-2-sprint/general/roms-source-support-t2916079 -- this one ended up in me getting a couple of points on my account The above/last link shows how the mod was just being a dick by not reading the OP and making assumptions about it. Heck he thought it was in the development section when it was clearly in the general section. He also thought the roms were untested when the OP clearly stated that they would be tested before posting. Then he created a fake g+ account so he could come and talk trash on my g+ plus.google.com/101066264845019051467/posts/aBJvwgFVLjN and lied to another mod about what was going on. Yet no action was ever taken against him. xda is full of these idiot mods that has sent many good devs else where.

But i dont understand your argument here. Yu say you broke the rules (In this case not publsihing soures) but then complain that they locked the thread. Again, please do not take this as me sticking up for them, i just do not understand our complaint. You admit you broke the rules. Would it make you happier if they locked the other thread as well? Like i say, i really dont want to come across as an xda fanboy, i just wanted to point out different communities have different levels of what is acceptable and differetn rules on how to behave. I just think the world would be a better place if there was more tolereance towards this. I have spent 12 years in the army, when i am at work i behave and talk completely differently to when i go home and visit my mother. I also behave differently when i am at home with my wife. What i do and say at work is acceptable there, but i certainly would not say those things in front of my mum. I will treat this forum like work and xda like being in the front room drinking tea with my mother. I dont mind that, just a different set of rules to abide by.
